CULTPLAY project

CULTPLAY – Creation of Interactive Thematic Parks, the innovative use of cultural heritages

The aim of the project is to increase the attractiveness of the border region by creating new areas of tourism by products and brands built on our common history. The way of realization is via presenting our partners’ significant cultural heritages.

Another aim is to strengthen the cross-border cooperation by presenting the thematic parks to the partner villages’ audiences. It is expected that traditional cultural-social events and individual meetings will together increase the number of mutual visits from neighbouring regions, which will contribute to the boosting of tourism of all involved partners.

"CULTPLAY" parks are thematic facilities, primary serving as playgrounds providing educational information, historical value and knowledge. The educational materials will be available in three languages – Hungarian, Slovak and English – just like connecting mobile application. Each of the parks will offer visitors spectacularities of another parks, attracting visitors from one side of the Danube to the other.

The city of Nové Zámky as the main partner of the project in cooperation with five Slovakian and four Hungarian towns (Komárno, Hurbanovo, Kolárovo, Šala, Svodín and Komárom, Tata, Oroszlány, Kisbér) in the framework of the INTERREG VA Slovakia – Hungary Cooperation Program Priority line PO1 – Nature and culture, Specific objective 1.1.
